Evening all.

It has been a little while, been work busy and writing busy. So, I entered a competition on:

https://brilliantflashfictionmag.wordpress.com/2016/01/25/science-fiction-contest-results/#more-978

I submitted a quirky, Steampunk number entitled ‘Chronostasis’. Made the long list, not the short, and certainly not the finals. But do go and visit the site, some good stuff on there. The winner, ‘First Man’ by Mike Wood, http://mjkewood.blogspot.co.uk/  is a rather beautiful, haunting story, I found, but still grounded in science, even though that is science fiction. I’m still reading through the others, the quality is high and I feel like mine was an amateur attempt at the submission theme.

Still waiting to hear from elsewhere…

Exciting News

So I just received an e-mail from Jonathan Green ( editor at Snowbooks, author of Pax Britannia series. http://jonathangreenauthor.blogspot.co.uk)
I just wanted to let you know that if you go here – https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1475BdTHo7zIsu5Ve-bS5lrdjWvv72FwBabw9gY88w-U/pubhtml?gid=932475305&single=true – you will see that your story from GAME OVER is among the list of suggested recipients for the Best Short Story Award for this year’s BFS Awards.

I know, I know, there are hundreds of suggestions on there – but hey! I got short-listed! I cannot tell you how excited I am. If you read this, and if you have read the anthology “Game Over”, you may wish to vote for it (or mine) when the time comes.
